Montana has legalized adult-use cannabis. Joel Silverman, a Montana cannabis lawyer, visited Montana earlier this fall to talk about what Montana’s recreational marijuana market might look like if these measures were passed.
Two cannabis initiatives were voted for in Montana this election – CI -118, and I -190. The -118 will establish the legal age for marijuana purchases and consumption at 21,. I -190 is responsible for taxing and regulating cannabis for adult-use.
Consumers can only possess 1 Oz of flower and 8 grams of concentrate.
Montana allows home-growing up to four mature plants and four seedlings.
Once the law is passed, it should not be difficult to obtain your Montana cannabis license. The only thing that can stop you getting your license in Montana is a background check, and the operating costs for cannabis businesses in Montana.
